Scott Lucken got his start with Dobermans in 1980 He then had Giant Schnauzers, which he showed in Obedience, Tracking, Flyball, Schutzhund, and Conformation. He has also trained Police K9s.

Scott got his first Border Collie in the Spring of 1996. He started herding soon after. In 1997, he started trialing. He and Belle took first place on the B course, Started, at the first BCSA Specialty. Since then he has trained several dogs to three HCs, along with many HX titles on Sheep, Ducks, and Cattle. He currently is the handler of five Border Collies, and one Australian Cattle Dog.

Scott has been an AKC herding judge since 2004.
